Halloween Eve at Islandwood

October 25 HOWL-o-ween. 1pm IslandWood. Join IslandWood for their 5th annual Halloween event! Take part in Troll Trek scavenger hunt. Visit the fortunetellers in the Gypsies Grotto, have your face painted by the fairies, play carnival games and listen to music at the Hobgoblin Jamboree. Listen to scary (and not so scary) stories around the fireplace. Learn about bats and see live creepy crawlies from IslandWood naturalists, with an optional night hike. Learn about GIANT walking sticks, spiders and scorpions from a local spider collector! Special guest appearance by a LIVE Great Horned Owl and educational crows. Bring on the fun! This a BYOP event! That is, bring your own pumpkin (and carving tools, if you have them) Costumes are encouraged Admission is free, with a suggested donation of $5 per family http://islandwood.org/ Maureen
